More than 400,000 people sign the petition to indict Ilhan Omar.
Over 400,000 people have signed a petition to charge Ilhan Omar, which is being led by one Mr. Jacob Wohl.
Rep. Ilhan Omar was called out throughout the campaign for having a penchant for making antisemitic remarks while refusing to denounce terror organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas, according to the petition’s declaration.
“Speaker Nancy Pelosi appointed Rep. Omar to the House Foreign Affairs Committee after she was elected to the House of Representatives, which is crucial in determining American foreign policy. Rep. Ilhan Omar’s antisemitism has persisted and perhaps gotten worse since taking office.
In the meantime, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is being accused of inciting hatred against Muslims after intensifying its attacks on Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib. The majority of Israel’s congressional detractors are progressive Democrats, and AIPAC, a pro-Israel advocacy group that bills itself as bipartisan, has long launched attack commercials against them.
The anger did not cause AIPAC to change its position; rather, the pro-Israel organization repeated its narrative connecting Omar, a Democrat from Minnesota, to terrorism.
In reaction to Slevin, AIPAC tweeted, “Your bogus attack on us can’t divert from [Omar’s] attack on America and Israel.
Rep. Omar’s comparison of the United States and Israel to the Taliban and Hamas is disgusting. There is no moral parity between the terrorists who attack democratic allies and those who support them.
